It was a mix of sun, wind, rain, warm and chill as the Thomson-McDuffie Middle School Bulldogs began two weeks of spring football practice Jan. 14.
Head coach Brian Usry and other coaches worked with close to 60 players at a time most do not associate with spring.
“We chose to do it in January so that we would not conflict with any of the spring sports, as well the CRCT which will be held in April,” said Usry. “We have no sports going on during the month of January, so we thought this would be the best time.”
