• Man charged with molesting youngster on Christmas day

A Thomson man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly molesting a child on Christmas day. A report about the alleged incident was filed with the Thomson Police Department on Jan. 3 and according to Sgt. Marquis Murray, the incident occurred between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. on Dec. 25. According to Murray, the complaint alleges that Purcell Hudson, 50, of the 700 block of Robin Street, inappropriately touched a child at a home in Thomson.
