Girls, ages 6 to 12, gathered at First Baptist Church in Thomson to learn about Mary, her faith, and her obedience to God on Jan. 12.
“We’ve got about 40 girls who are excited about reaching this community for Christ, learning how to lead, and learning how to serve,” said Beverly Rabun, one of the Acteens leaders who organized the conference.
The Acteens program focuses on girls in grades six through eight and many of the girls helped lead the conference. The Acteens theme this year is “Expect great things from God, attempt great things for God.”
Rabun said the conference was patterned after last year’s women’s conference hosted at the church. Like that conference, the classes and activities were varied.
