Forward McDuffie moves into 2013 with plans to make a concerted effort for all three of it’s elements — industrial development, tourism, and the chamber of commerce — to be seen as one unified entity.
“Forward McDuffie is everything economic development, anything that has to do with creating jobs, improving quality of life, as well as increasing our tax base,” said Ralph Staffins, executive director of Forward McDuffie.
Staffins said the community was very forward thinking more than a decade ago when Forward McDuffie was started in 2001.
“To bring all of these different organizations under one roof and to share expenses, share costs, and cut down on waste is just tremendous in my opinion,” he added.
