Two years ago, Robert A. Wilson formed Precision Waste Services to create a customer-focused, full service waste company based in Thomson.
He purchased MaGahee Sanitation, then added equipment and grew his customer base. Precision Waste now serves customers in five counties —McDuffie, Warren, Lincoln, Richmond, and Columbia.
Wilson didn’t jump into the sanitation business without prior knowledge of the industry. He graduated from Emory University with high honors in 2005 then went to work for Roark Capital Group, a company that invested in garbage companies and helped them grow.
“I really started to like the industry,” he said.
