• Bucs fall to Gatewood, 64-27

Briarwood Academy struggled early and never recovered in a Tuesday-night 64-27 loss at Gatewood Schools.
The Runnin’ Bucs missed their first eight shots and found themselves trailing 13-1 early. By the end of the first quarter, they were down 17-9.
Briarwood Coach Bo Fleming said his team’s plan was to use a zone defense to shut down Gatewood’s inside game and force outside shooting. But, the result was the Gators sank seven 3-pointers in the first half.
Fleming said his team had a bad night shooting and only sank nine of 55 from the floor.
