• Deputy seizes marijuana, cash and cocaine in I-20 traffic stop

A traffic stop of two North Carolina men lead to the discovery of marijuana, cocaine and money on Dec. 27.
McDuffie County Deputy Jared Land stopped a Dodge Charger on Interstate 20 after noticing the car following another vehicle too closely. The occupants, Reka C. Auther, 27 of the 1200 block of S. Sixth Street in Wilmington, N. C. and Tyrone Roland, 33, of the 1100 block of S. Sixth Street in Wilmington, N.C., were questioned and the deputy began to suspect that they were involved in criminal activity.
