• Briarwood Lady Bucs win twice on the road

After two tough games this past weekend, the Briarwood Academy girls improved their record to 13-0.
“We had two pretty tough games,” said Briarwood Coach Keith Johnson.
Saturday Briarwood defeated Piedmont Academy 58-45.
“We couldn’t ever really extend the lead on this one. It just kind of went back and fourth. We got up 18-7 on them in the first and then every quarter beyond that was pretty close,” said Johnson.
The Lady Bucs were outscored in the second quarter 14-11 but still held a 29-21 lead going into the half.
Johnson said Piedmont had a big girl inside who gave his team trouble and scored 26 points.
