Ministries assist thousands in 2012
By Linda Green

A local ministry distributed 96,000 pounds of food to families and individuals in need in 2012. Agape Outreach Ministries helped 13,000 people with food, clothing and furniture throughout from Jan. 1, 2012 to Dec. 31, 2012.
"We had a busy time and I just loved it," said Pastor Margaret Sharp, director of the ministry and its accompanying Agape Fellowship Church.
"I continue to pray that people will have it in their hearts to give in 2013," she said. "The needs continue to increase."
In 2012, the ministry at 316 West Hill Street in Thomson provided 6,000 pieces of clothing, 126 pieces of furniture, 800 different personal items and 589 baby items to those in need.
