New chief delivers his plan for police

Thomson Police Chief John Seay, in a presentation Thursday to the Thomson Rotary Club, stressed the importance of mutual trust between police and a community and outlined four programs he would like to see implemented in Thomson and McDuffie County.
Seay served as interim administrator for the Thomson Police Department until late December when he was named as the new chief.
The chief is a veteran of law enforcement and served for many years with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
