• Sanders takes oath, and talks about the future

As Dennis Sanders was sworn in for an eighth term as Senior District Attorney for the Toombs County Judicial Circuit on Friday, he thought back to the 39 years he has worked on behalf of the people.
“I remember words of wisdom that were given to me by my mentor William Swan when I was first elected. He said, ‘you are the same person you were yesterday. You are not a big man. You simply are a man who has a big job. If you ever forget that, the same people that put you in office will take you out of office.’ Those words of advice he gave to me back in July 1984 have served me well,” the district attorney said.
