George Ashmen, Jr.
George H. Ashmen, Jr., 65, of Augusta, Ga., husband of the late Dorothy Ashmen, entered into rest on Dec. 20, 2012.
Graveside services were held on Wed., Jan. 2, 2013, at Westview Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Sat., Dec. 29, at Starling Funeral Home in Harlem, Ga.

Verley Gunter
Funeral services for Verley Ann Taylor Gunter, 57, of Thomson, Ga., were held on Tues., Jan. 1, 2013, at First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Appling, Ga. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Thomson Funeral System handled the arrangements.

Carl E. Nale
U.S. Army Retired First Sergeant Carl Eugene Nale, husband of the late Lola Lucille Nale, of Grovetown, Ga., entered into rest on Mon., Dec. 31, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Fri., Jan. 4, 2013, at Harlem Baptist Church. Interment will be in South Harlem Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Thurs., Jan. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Starling Funeral Home in Harlem, Ga.

Mary D. Price
Mary Dawson Price, 82, of Gibson, Ga., mother of Michael Price, died on Sat., Dec. 29, 2012.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thurs., Jan. 3, 2013, at Gibson Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends on Wed., Jan. 2, at Sheppard Funeral Home of Gibson.

Blanch K. Usry
Blanch Kitchens Usry, 97, of Gibson, Ga., wife of the late Billy Kitchens and the late Harvey J. Usry, died on Dec. 31, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Fri., Jan. 4, 2013, at Sheppard Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9:45 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Barbara Wallace

Barbara Wallace
Barbara Deepe Wallace, 75, of Thomson, Ga., beloved wife of Albert Wallace, died on Saturday, December 29, 2012, in the University McDuffie Hospital.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 31, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with the Preacher Matt Shelton officiating.
Mrs. Wallace was a native of South Bend, Indiana. She has lived in Thomson for many years. She was a retired bookkeeper, and a member of the Thomson Church of Christ.
Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Deepe. Survivors include her husband, Albert Wallace of Thomson; her three sons, Jim Wallace of Thomson, Charles Wallace of Dearing, and John Wallace of Thomson; her sister, Rosemary Pinkston of Green Field, Indiana; her grandchildren, Alana (Jarrett) Darrah, Nick Wallace, Jennifer (Kenny) Ellis, and Ty Wallace.
If one so desires, donations may be made to the Thomson Church of Christ.
Friends called at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family received friends from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon at the funeral home.
