Cra’shekia Durham, left, and Ty’Haley James, both third-graders, bow their heads on Friday, Dec. 21. at 9:30 a.m., as students at Thomson Elementary observe a moment of silence, for those impacted by violence at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. The TES students were gathered for a festive event in which 31 students won bicycles. However, the group paused to remember the school tragedy which happened a week earlier. Friday was also pajamas day at TES.
