Students at Briarwood Academy worked in recent weeks to help meet the needs of local families this Christmas season.
“We send all of our toys to DFACS (Department of Family and Children Services) so they are distributed to local families,” said Kayleigh Sheppard, the school’s National Junior Honor Society sponsor.
The toys will go to families in Warren, McDuffie and Wilkes counties. The students collected a wide assortment of toys over a two-week period.
“The toys have been anything from a Nerf gun to a Wii game set,” she said.
