The Christmas season was in full swing Thursday night as Hometown Christmas took over downtown Warrenton. From singing to a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus and a live nativity, there was plenty to do and see. Some downtown businesses held open houses and fire barrels kept people toasty. Cindy Rivers, Warren County Chamber of Commerce events coordinator and membership services manager, said a total of 400 luminaries lined the street and downtown. The scene provides a great backdrop to people enjoying hayrides and carriage rides.
