Briarwood Academy lost 52-43 Tuesday night at Brentwood in the Buccaneers’ first road game of the regular season.
The game was closer than reflected by the score. With four minutes left in the game, the Bucs were still in the game and trailing 40-37.
Intentional fouls as Briarwood tried to get the ball back let Brentwood stretch the lead in the end, according to Coach Bo Fleming.
“We had the ball twice and missed two easy shots, then they pushed it out on us and we had to foul in the end,” he said.
