The Briarwood Academy Buccaneers capped regular season play Friday with a 38-6 win over Windsor Academy and now will face the defending GISA state champions, Westwood Schools, in the first round of state playoffs.
“We’ve clinched a playoff spot and now we’ve just got to go take care of business,” said Briarwood Coach John Osborne.
The Bucs came out strong Friday night at Windsor.
Osborne had told his players earlier in the week how much was at stake. A loss would have meant a fourth-place seed and a possible three-way tie. A win would produce a third-place seed.
