• Hurricane Sandy prompts extension of family drug awareness contest

The National Family Partnership announced Nov. 2 that the national contest giving families and students the opportunity to raise awareness of the destruction caused by drugs and win $1000 for their school has been extended one more week, due to Hurricane Sandy.
Parents and students nationwide now have more time to enter the partnership’s 27th annual Red Ribbon Week competition by decorating the front of their homes with the message: "The Best Me Is Drug Free."
