• Many McDuffie residents voting early
By Linda Green

McDuffie County residents continue to perform their civic duty to elect the next president of the United States, congressional representatives and local leaders.
Since Oct. 19, when early voting began, 2,869 of the 14,224 registered McDuffie County voters have cast ballots prior to the national Election Day.
On Nov. 6, McDuffie residents will join registered voters from across the country to place a commander in chief in the White House. Locally citizens will also elect a county coroner, a county commission chairman, a clerk of superior court, a district attorney, a sheriff and a tax commissioner. The incumbents were unopposed. The two county commission seats were retained by the incumbents on July 31.
