• Trash Amnesty day is Nov. 10

The holidays are approaching and residents are beginning to clear their homes and yards of debris.
Normally, residents will be charged to dispose of their refuse at the county’s landfill, but on Sat. Nov. 10, citizens may rid themselves of their junk for free.
The county’s solid waste department is once again offering a “Trash Amnesty Day,” at the transfer station, located 4.5 miles west of Thomson on Mesena Road.
