• Bathroom fan starts fire

A burning exhaust fan in a mobile home scrambled three fire engines and seven county firefighters Friday afternoon.
McDuffie County Fire and Rescue responded to a fire at 1856 Wrightsboro Road at 2:05 p.m.
When they arrived at the mobile home of Stephanie Kendrick, they found a fire inside the exhaust fan in the bathroom.
