Briarwood’s record dropped to 4-4 overall, 1-2 in the region, Friday night as the Bucs lost to John Milledge Academy 56-14.
The Bucs simply never could gain any momentum.
“We just couldn’t get anything really going,” said Briarwood Head Coach John Osborne. “There were times that we threw the ball and got first downs, we ran the ball at times and went right through the line and got a big first down. We just couldn’t sustain a drive to amount to anything.”
Briarwood took the opening kick off but after three plays faced fourth-and-16 and punted. The punt was returned 46-yards for the first Trojan touchdown of the night. The point-after kick was no good.
Briarwood’s second series ended on a Trojan’s interception, which was returned to the Briarwood -yard-line.
