• Woman steals ambulance, then drives it to Augusta

A Thomson woman was arrested Friday for stealing an ambulance from the hospital.
Donna Boykin, 47, of the 3680 block of Cobbham Road, was arrested by Thomson Police after she reportedly drove an ambulance away from University Hospital McDuffie around 10 a.m., on Oct. 19.
According to the police, Boykin drove the county’s emergency services ambulance to Trinity Hospital and visited the emergency room.
Police were able to quickly locate the stolen ambulance because of its GPS tracking system.
