• Thomson man arrested on burglary charge

A Thomson man was arrested for allegedly entering a Boulevard Drive home and taking a firearm and a variety of electronic games.
Paul Jones Jr., 21, of the 690 block of Boulevard Drive, was arrested Oct 12 after an investigation revealed that he allegedly entered and removed items from the residence of Detra Jones, of Boulevard Drive.
According to Thomson Police Captain Jamie Bridges, Detra Jones’ home was burglarized sometime around Oct. 5. Items taken included a man’s watch, a 25-caliber handgun, a PlayStation II and games, X-Box games and a coin collection.
