A Thomson woman has been charged with criminal trespass and entering an automobile after allegedly taking a cell phone from a purse and knifing a seat.
Thomson Police Captain Jamie Bridges said that Karen Jackson, of the 200 block of Canary Street, was in the process of moving and storing items at 408 Fourth Street on Oct. 14. He said that she heard what appeared to be her car door opening and went outside to investigate.
Bridges said Jackson noticed items from her car, including her purse on the ground and a woman, named Pamela J. Lee, walking away at a fast pace. The captain said Jackson’s cell phone was missing from her purse and her car’s passenger seat had been cut several times.
