The Thomson Lady Bulldogs ended their season with a 8-5 loss to the Pike County Lady Pirates Thursday, Oct. 11, in the first round tiebreaker in the Class AAA Softball Playoffs.
THS had a 3-1 lead going into the fifth inning. With two outs, Thomson made two costly errors that caused a momentum shift in which the Lady Pirates took a 6-3 lead.
In the sixth inning, Pike County scored two runs on a homerun.
Danny Farrell, first-year Thomson head coach said the Lady Dogs had the chance to close the door but the miscue ended the threat.
