• Survivor surpasses decade since diagnosis

For Donna Player, Oct. 16 marked the 10-year anniversary of her being diagnosed with breast cancer.
At the time, she was 38. Her daughter was 5 and her son was a freshman in high school.
The mother of two had never had a mammogram until being instructed to have one after facing several medical issues.
“It was a series of things. I just started having some health problems; started losing weight. I wasn’t feeling the best and was really tired,” she said.
