The Thomson High School Lady Dogs won 15-3 in the third game of a best-of-three seeding series Tuesday against Washington County at Lady Bulldogs Field.
On Monday, the Lady Dogs won the first game 10-2 and lost the second 15-16 in the 12th inning, after playing a five-inning tie breaker.
On Tuesday, the Lady Golden Hawks scored a run in the first inning, but THS scored 11 runs in the bottom of the inning. Thomson sent 13 batters to the plate.
“We had a great first inning, jumping out to a 10 run lead,” said Danny Farrell, Thomson head coach. “The girls could have easily let up, but they did not, and continued to put pressure on WACO. We have needed a game like that to give us a momentum push.”
