• County commission approves park on Ellington Avenue

McDuffie County will have a new park on Ellington Avenue.
The McDuffie County Board of Commissioners signed a resolution Oct. 3 to enter a contract with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources for financial assistance to develop a 2.5 acre neighborhood park at 100 and 106 Ellington Avenue.
The resolution authorizes the county to receive a matching grant from the department’s Land and Water Conservation Fund.
