The health and welfare of employees of the City of Thomson was the motivation behind an annual health fair on Friday morning.
Twenty vendors representing University Hospital and University Hospital McDuffie, and health care groups and associations lined the Thomson Depot to perform a variety of tests and screenings on city workers.
According to Shanda Grant, director of human resources, high blood pressure is the most common ailment of the city’s 104 employees.
