• Man arrested for firing gun in city

A Thomson man was arrested Saturday for discharging a firearm near a city street.
The Thomson Police Department arrested Carlos J. McGahee, 40, of the 1060 block of Huntly Circle for firing a gun in the 300 block of Ellington Avenue.
