• THS Lady Dogs look to turn the table
By Jim Wallace, Correspondent

The weather got in the way of the Thomson Lady Dogs’ region softball game against Jefferson County Wednesday.
The break gave Thomson a chance to recharge a bit before the team’s region road encounter against Washington County Thursday Sept. 20.
Prior to Thursday, the team had lost its last six games, with the most recent being an 11-10 loss to Savannah Christian.
“Savannah Christian game was a well-played game,” said Danny Farrell, Thomson head coach. “We fought hard to the very end. I was proud of my girls for not laying down. We swung the bats very well, played solid defense, and Bryanna Neal pitched very well.” The next two region games, Jefferson County and Washington County are very big for the Lady Dogs.
