• School board approves 163 fundraisers

The McDuffie County School Board approved more than 160 proposed fundraisers for the school year. Although the board approved the fundraisers, some members expressed concern that parents are overburdened by too many fundraising projects.
The board approved 163 fundraisers, which are organized by the schools or affiliated groups, for the 2012-2013 school year. The board also approved an outside request by McDuffie County Special Olympics to hold four fundraisers.
