• Lady Dogs find wins, losses in recent softball games

The Thomson Lady Dogs split region games and competed in an invitational tournament in recent softball games.
On Sept. 5, Thomson won 10-2 against Swainsboro in a region game. The next day, the Lady Dogs lost a region contest, 4-2, to Dodge County.
THS competed in the Evans Invitational at Patriot Park Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Thomson defeated North Springs 17-0 and ARC 14-2.
On Saturday, the Lady Dogs lost to Cross Creek 10-1, lost to Evans 3-0 and lost to Banks County 13-1.
“On Saturday, we didn’t execute very well,” said Danny Farrell, THS head coach. “Against Cross Creek, we made five errors in the first two innings and stranded nine base runners in scoring position.”
