Thomson Presbyterian Church shifts from survival to new possibilities

If a banner were flying atop Thomson Presbyterian Church, it would indicate that the past is gone, the present is here and the future is bright with possibilities.
The Rev. Wilfred Bellamy, who returned in July to lead the fledging congregation after he departed 10 years ago, called the church a phoenix.
"The phoenix is rising from the ashes and new life is being breathed into Thomson Presbyterian Church," he said.
When he left to take a position with the Presbyterian denomination, he said the Thomson Presbyterian had vitality and an excitement, which was absent when he returned.
