• License check leads to meth and marijuana discovery

A McDuffie County Deputy assisting the Georgia State Patrol with a license check on Thursday nabbed a Thomson woman for drug possession.
Deputy Clay Hammond was helping the State Patrol conduct a traffic safety check on Boneville Road around 6:50 p.m. He noticed that a Nissan Maxima had passed by several times before the car pulled up to the checkpoint.
