A local man is spearheading an effort to secure a landmark for the future by involvement in the present, and he is asking for your help.
Robbie Ansley, 45, a great grandson of Thomas Ansley, builder of the Rock House, is creator-founder of Save The Rock House Foundation, an independent, non-profit that will raise funds to aid in the restoration and preservation of the house and any building on the property.
“The Rock House was built in 1768 by Thomas Ansley and extensively repaired in 1981 by Dorothy Jones and her father, but it is now in deep need of repair. It has been the victim of vandalism and misuse,” said Ansley, in a press release.
