A red-brick church stands atop a hill on Stagecoach Road beckoning people to enter and become a part of God’s plan for their lives.
The 124-year old White Oak Grove Baptist Church aspires to get people to spend time with God’s Word and learn that each person is an integral part of His plan.
“We must get people to understand that God made each of us uniquely for His profound purpose,” said the Rev. Michael Stephens, who celebrates his first year as pastor of the 37-member congregation on Sept. 9.
White Oak Grove Baptist Church’s foundation is the Word of God and the church comprises God’s people, he said.
“We are a people who are thirsty for the pure Word of God,” he said. “The members have reached a point in their Christian walk where they are hungry for more.”
