• Thomson man faces molestation charge

The McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office charged a Thomson man with child molestation Thursday after deputies responded to a call about an assault.
A bond of $20,000 was set against Jamie R. Burnett, 42, of the 2000 block of Wrightsboro Road, after deputies were called to a Hamilton Drive address at 1:45 p.m., Aug. 30, to investigate an incident.
