Harmon Castleberry
Funeral services for Harmon Castleberry, 88, of Thomson, Ga., were held on Sun., Sept. 2, 2012, at Rocky Branch Baptist Church in Norwood, Ga. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Thomson Funeral System handled the arrangements.

Edward Chambers, Jr.
Edward Leon Chambers, Jr., 61, of Thomson, Ga., widower of Norma Faye Chambers, father of Kelley Marie, Allen, & Harry Chambers, & stepfather of Toni Faye Piatchek, died on Wed., Aug. 29, 2012.
Funeral services were held on Tues., Sept. 4, at Curtis Funeral Home. The family received friends prior to the service. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.

Joseph P. Delfino
Joseph Paul Delfino, 81, of Evans, Ga., husband of Ruth M. Delfino, died on Sat., Sept. 1, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Fri., Sept. 7, at First Assembly of God Church in Lincolnton, Ga.
The family will receive friends on Thurs., Sept. 6, from 2-5 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home in Lincolnton.

Robert Featherston III
Robert "Flash" Featherston III, 70, of Martinez, Ga., husband of Katherine McCoy Featherston, entered into rest on Sept. 2, 2012.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wed., Sept. 5, at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel in Thomson, Ga. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Carroll Dwayne Hock, Sr.
Carroll Dwayne Hock, Sr., 75, of Sagamore Drive in Thomson, Ga., entered into rest on September 1, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Fri., Sept. 7, at Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Harlem with Rev. Benjamin Wiles officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors.
Mr. Hock was born in Port Arthur, Texas and was the son of the late Henry Virgil Hock and the late Evelyn Swearingen Hock. He was a retired Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service and retired from the Maintenance Department at Gracewood in Augusta after 17 years of service. Mr. Hock was also a devoted Christian and faithful member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his son, Carroll Dwayne Hock, Jr. and wife Cindi, David Henry Hock; daughters, Barbara Derringer and husband Tim, Alicia Stunkel and husband Gerald, Melissa Ray and husband Edgar, and Candice Hock; sister, Sharon Singh; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 o’clock on Fri., Sept. 7, at Philadelphia United Methodist Church prior to the service.
Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.

Charles Edward Renfro III
Loving Husband, Dad, Grandfather and Friend
Charles Edward Renfro, 82, of White Tiger Road in Appling, Ga., entered into rest on Sept. 4, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann White Renfro.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., Sept. 8, at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of the church and William Paschal.
Mr. Renfro was born in Memphis, Tenn. to the late Charles Edward Renfro, Jr. and the late Eva Godwin Renfro. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and after retiring from the U.S. Army, he became a Civil Service Electronics Instructor at Fort Gordon until his retirement. Mr. Renfro was a faithful and devoted member of Sharon Baptist Church and served as a Deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Renfro; sons, Charles “Chuck” Edward Renfro IV and his wife Pam of Appling and Danny Renfro of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Charles “Chad” E. Renfro V and wife Rachel and William Renfro; and great granddaughter, Sadie Claire Renfro. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Christen Renfro.
Memorials may be made to Sharon Baptist Church, 6262 Cobbham Rd., Appling, Ga. 30802.
The family will receive friends on Fri., Sept. 7, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Fredrick L. Smith, Jr.
Fredrick Leroy Smith, Jr., 61, of Lincolnton, Ga., husband of Barbara Helen Muszar Smith, entered into rest on Mon., Sept. 3, 2012.
Memorial services will be held on Sat., Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. at Central Church of Christ in Martinez, Ga. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Frances Williams
Frances Williams, 77, of Thomson, Ga., widow of Jack Williams, died on Sat., Sept. 1, 2012.
Funeral services were held on Mon., Sept. 3, at Dearing Full Gospel Church. Burial was in Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Gibson, Ga.
The family received friends on Sun., Sept. 2, at Curtis Funeral Home.
