• Holy Cross to outreach into community as a recital hall

Reconnecting with the neighborhood and to increase the public’s awareness of its existence has led a Thomson church toward a unique enterprise.
Holy Cross Episcopal Church, at 515 Fluker Street, will begin renting out its sanctuary as a music recital hall.
The church seeks to provide rental space as a service to the community to promote and encourage live musical performances.
According to Robert Corbitt, the church’s music director for the last three years, people in the area and parents who have children attending Thomson Elementary School are aware of Holy Cross’ existence, but the rest of the city is not so much aware.
