Several inches of rain fell at two different times during thunderstorms Saturday flooding streets and yards around the community. While no major damage was reported in McDuffie County, there was flooding and closing of roads in Columbia County, according to Columbia County EMA Director Pam Tucker. A manhole cover overflows on Salem Road.
