An ambulance crew removes Dorothy Hill, of Thomson, from a pickup truck following a Friday afternoon collision at the entrance to CVS Pharmacy, located at 109 W. Hill Street. According to Thomson Police, her husband, Leonard Hill, 76, also of Thomson, was driving the 1986 Chevrolet Silvarado westbound on W. Hill Street around 1:15 p.m. and attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot after being motioned across by another motorist. While turning left, his truck collided with a 1995 Geo Metro (shown at right) being driven by Tracy Ivey, 48, of Thomson. The injured woman was taken to an area hospital by ambulance.
