A Thomson man has been charged with a variety of counts after being almost hit by a train early Sunday morning.
The Georgia State Patrol was called to the Main Street Railroad track in Thomson at 2 a.m. on Sunday to investigate an incident involving a car and a train.
According to Interim Thomson Police Chief John Seay, Police Patrolman Rod Rodriguez was headed north on Jackson Street when he noticed a gold Nissan Altima parked on the railroad tracks as he passed by.
