Edward A. Compton, 48, of Washington, Ga., husband of Tammy Reese Compton, entered into rest on July 23, 2012.
Funeral services will be held on Wed., July 25, at 12 noon at Columbia County Christian Church. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church on Tues., July 24, from 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services for Deacon George Crawford, Jr., 78, of Appling, Ga., will be held on Wed., July 25, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Popular Spring Baptist Church in Appling. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Jeanette S. Davis
Jeanette Steed Davis, 89, of Louisville, Ga., mother of Jean, Carol, Glenn, & Beth, entered into rest on Sun., July 22, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wed., July 25, at James Funeral Home Chapel in Wrens, Ga. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30-3 p.m. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery in Thomson, Ga.

Funeral services for Joann Jordan, known by her friends as "Jo Jo," of Wrens, Ga., will be held on Wed., July 25, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Stone Springfield A.M.E. Church in Stapleton, Ga. Interment will be in Gethsemane Baptist Church in Avera, Ga.

The body will lie in state at Dawson's Mortuary of Warrenton, Ga. on Thurs., July 26, from noon until 6 p.m. and at Ingram Brothers Funeral Home in Sparta on Fri., July 27, from noon until 6 p.m.
