Minnesota Vikings linebacker, and former Thomson Bulldog, Jasper Brinkley returned to his hometown Friday to bring a free football camp to area youth.
The First Annual Camp 54 was open to boys and girls ages 7 to 15. Brinkley organized the camp, which featured instruction by various high school coaches and National Football League players. Approximately 180 young players attended the camp at Sweetwater Park.
“I’ve gathered these guys throughout life. I’ve made a deal with the guys who want to do the same thing I want to do in life and have the same passion about playing football and giving back to their communities and their families,” said Brinkley.
