• Thomson native still looking for votes in best male vocalist contest

Thomson native Daniel Johnson, of the Statesboro-based Daniel Johnson Band, is a nominee for Male Artist of The Year on Georgia-County.com, and last week was ranked fourth among 68 nominees.
He was ranked fourth on July 4, according to a family member. Voting ends July 15 in this round, which will select finalists who go into another round of voting. Fans can cast more than one vote, but only one vote is allowed per IP address. That basically means you can only vote one time from a specific computer or cell phone and a second vote from that same electronic device will not be accepted.
