• Fundamentals taught at Sapp’s baseball camp

Robert Sapp stressed the fundamentals during baseball and softball camps at Sweetwater Park.
Sapp, who has conducted the camps for 32 years, and his coaches worked with close to 80 boys and girls from several surrounding counties during the week-long camps.
“It’s about fundamentals, be it softball or baseball,” said Sapp, who marked his 13th year of bringing the camps to McDuffie County.
“We want them fundamentally sound so that their game can improve. So many things lean on having the fundamentals right,” he said.
