Friends and co-workers saluted a long-time McDuffie County EMT at her retirement celebration Friday, June 22.
Inside a decorated Depot, it was an outpouring of love for Bettye Miles Roberts, who has been involved in health care for 47 years – 34 of those with the McDuffie County Emergency Medical Services.
Aprell Scott served as emcee for the event that drew close to 100 and featured a catered dinner, many speeches, and performances from family members and co-workers.
In her welcoming address, Chayna Williams thanked everyone for attending to show appreciation to Roberts, whom many referred to as “mom.”
