• Candidates cautioned about campaign sign placement

The political season is underway in McDuffie County and signs promoting candidates have been placed throughout communities, along roadways and in yards.
The candidates are being cautioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation to avoid having their signs in the rights of way.
The Georgia Department of Transportation released an alert on June 19 stating that signs in the rights of way would be removed by DOT maintenance crews.
